A

The Taubertal Festival is usually sold out before it starts.
If you want to be there, you should order your ticket in advance.

Aggregates are not permitted on any of the camping areas. Registered group camps can book an additional power supply.

The legal provisions for the protection of minors apply throughout the festival grounds.

Babies and children up to the age of 6 are not permitted on the festival grounds!

Children between the ages of 7 and 13 may visit the entire festival site, including the camping areas, if accompanied by a parent or guardian. A transfer of custody is not permitted!

Young people between the ages of 14 and 15 may visit the entire festival site if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Transfer of custody is only permitted for the concert grounds.

Young people between the ages of 16 and 17 may visit the entire festival site if accompanied by a parent or guardian. A transfer of custody is permitted for the entire festival area.

Transfer of custody
Legal guardians have the option of temporarily transferring their custody to other adults. Written proof of this must be carried by the person concerned and the minor.

We reserve the right not to accept a transfer of custody (e.g. if there are doubts about the validity of the transfer or the suitability of the person to whom custody has been transferred).

If the young person is accompanied, the “Agreement on special care” must be legally executed and signed.

A custodian is, for example, a parent, guardian or third party to whom custody has been transferred by the parent or guardian for the duration of the event. If the young person is accompanied by a legal guardian, the “Agreement on Custodial Authority” must be signed and legally binding and handed in at the ticket office together with copies of the parents’/guardian’s ID.

Agreement on special care

Below you can download the “Agreement on special care” for parents who take their children (7 – 15 years) onto the premises:

“Agreement on special care 2024”

Agreement on custodial rights
For the transfer of custody from the parents/guardian to a third adult. Copies of the parents’/guardian’s identity documents must be attached to this.

There is a train station in Rothenburg which is served from Ansbach/Nuremberg or from Würzburg (stopover Steinach near Rothenburg). From the train station you can easily take the festival shuttle bus to the campsites.

Are prohibited because they are dangerous. It’s logical!

Visitors with disabilities are recommended to go to our service point in the city
(Friedrich-Hörner-Weg 11, 91541 Rothenburg ob der Tauber, see map)

Here we offer the possibility of a free shuttle or, if desired, issue the appropriate transit ticket for access to the festival.

If the disability is not obvious, written proof is required.
(disabled person’s pass G/H/B)

We offer parking facilities for people with disabilities near the main grounds.

A disabled toilet can be found in the adjacent area (at the Bavarian Red Cross).

From Thursday at 09:00 to Monday at 13:00 we offer a free shuttle service between the city, the festival site and the campsites.

The exact travel times can be found here (information on the map) ->

All visitors arriving by bus or train can use the free festival shuttle bus from the train station to the campsites.

For safety reasons, the bus shuttle stops operating at around 21:00.

Both the town, the camping areas and the quarry stage can be reached on foot in a maximum of 25 minutes.

Visitors with disabilities can use our VIP shuttle free of charge. You can obtain tickets at the main box office (north entrance) or at the Service Point at P1 in Rothenburg.
(Friedrich-Hörner-Weg 11)

If the disability is not obvious, written proof of the disability is required. (disabled person’s pass G/H/B)

The location boards are displayed in various places throughout the site. For example, light poles, stands, mobile toilets and sanitary facilities.

Using the coordinates shown there and the grid map in the program booklet, you can determine your exact location.

We offer city tours especially for festival visitors!

In the event of severe weather/storms, safety personnel must be obeyed.

Please pay attention to our messages on social media and the weather flags (red/ yellow/ green) on the campsites:

Three weather flags are set up on the “Berg” campsite (see map) and are intended for assessing the weather situation and the associated rules of conduct.

GREEN flag
Everything is ok.
Sun, cloudy and light rain. The weather is stable and no squalls, heavy rain or lightning are forecast.

YELLOW flag
Caution is advised.
Heavy rain, gusts of wind and lightning were forecast. The site and campsites may have to be evacuated. Please note weather forecasts, announcements by the organizer and the security forces via homepage, social media, loudspeakers, video wall and pay attention to a possible flag change.

RED flag
An evacuation is scheduled!
For the “Berg” campsite, this means that all visitors must secure their campsites and get into their vehicles. Visitors with cars are asked to accommodate visitors without cars. All people who cannot be accommodated in a vehicle are evacuated from the toll station by bus to the town of Rothenburg. If possible, please keep away from trees and flying structures and seek an open field. The following applies to all public areas: Follow the instructions of the security staff and go directly to the collection points Valley I and Valley II for emergencies (see map).

An event on the scale of the Taubertal Festival produces huge amounts of waste (over 70 tons per year). A functioning waste disposal system is therefore essential for a positive environmental balance. Our environmental team will clean the entire festival site twice a day as best they can. Please remember – these people collect your dirt! Help them to do their job well!

Keep your campsite clean!

We reserve the right to expel campers who do not dispose of their garbage properly!

We collect garbage and not bulky waste! Leaving bulky waste (sofas, fridges(!), furniture and plastic pavilions etc.) is illegal!

We reserve the right to charge the polluter for the disposal costs and, if necessary, to charge the waste disposal costs. Press charges.

So PLEASE take your old sofas, fridges and tents back home with you and dispose of them properly at the recycling center. You are welcome to dispose of general waste at our waste collection stations (see map).

Also remember the following: We bear the costs for the disposal of your waste. You therefore contribute to the pricing of the festival ticket by adhering to certain rules. The “all-inclusive price” can only be maintained if we get the waste problem under control. Together!

Garbage deposit
Every camper will receive garbage bags from us for a deposit of 5,00 €. Glass and residual waste are separated. The full garbage bags can then be returned to the designated points. The deposit is then paid out again.

ATTENTION! There is a deposit stamp for the bags. Returns are only possible in conjunction with the deposit stamp! A full bin liner can be exchanged for an empty one.

Commercial trade with garbage and garbage deposit stamps is prohibited

and will be reported to the police!

Noise
is also environmental pollution! The following applies: No music systems may be operated after midnight. Areas larger than your own camp may not be covered with sound.

There is a general night’s rest from 24:00 to 07:00!
